Awesome recovery for Cattle this week. Feb Live working way up to next two resistances. Old high at $2.28 and/or gap fill at $2.33/lb. Jan feeders can fill a gap with continued push up to $3.48/lb. Market entering overbought territory so important to see momentum continue next week.

Jan -32.80@617.90 (-5%) Futures continue slide to Oct low $610/T on Jan futures. Need to hold that support to avoid further pullback to $574-587/T. Market will be oversold again soon. If price holds at either support mentioned, there will be a retest of $650- 670/T

Jan -.21@11.16 (-1.8%) Double digit loss to end week. Jan futures sit at first support of $11.05/bu & may slide to $10.90/bu yet. Market is getting oversold, but no indication that the lows are in yet. Ideally want to hold $10.90/bu to keep higher range in tact.

Mar -.03@4.44 (-.7%) Modest drop this week. Still holding the uptrend line $4.34- 4.38/bu on March contract. Need to maintain that support & move above $4.57/bu to extend the uptrend by .30- .40/bu. A break of trendline would signal a slide to $4.25/bu or $4.09/bu.

Mar -.09@3.08 (-2.8%) March futures stuck trading sideways range with low-end support $2.95/bu & resistance at $3.20-3.28/bu. A fall below that support would put weekly low at $2.75/bu on table. Ideally get a break above $3.28/bu to extend uptrend to $3.50/bu.

⚡Canola seeing small pressure leading up to Thursday Stats Canada production report. The trend is still in good shape as long as the support $630-635/T on Jan holds. Wheat holding trendline & seeing some strength. Most notable is Dec Min trying to break above $5.96/bu is a good sign.

Cattle futures recovered into end of week after a rough start. Jan Feeders need to break through trendline resistance at $3.27/lb & $3.40 gap. to confirm a change to uptrend. Same for Feb Live $2.23/lb trendline & $2.32/lb gap. Will send a chart update next week.
Weekly Oats Summary
March futures held support at $2.95- 3.00/bu on last pull back. Now need to break past the two resistance levels at $3.26/bu & $3.30/bu to confirm any further upside. Once that happens we would be able to reach for a 50% retracement to $3.50/bu (+.20-30/bu cash)
Weekly Wheat Summary
March Min came close to $5.90/bu resistance this week. That’s the short term target area. ($7.25-$7.75/bu cash). A move above that can confirm upside $6.30- 6.60/bu. (.40-.60/bu). Mar Kan not as strong this week & around .30/bu away from the short term target area.
Weekly Soy Summary
Jan futures held the $11.10/bu support range on last pullback. Now need to break above resistance at $11.60-11.70/bu to confirm a further ~.50/bu upside. Use first resistance for short term sales & wait for confirmation of top or trend extension for bigger sales.
Weekly Corn Summary
Futures had a nice hold & bounce off trendline support at $4.34/bu this week. Now need to clear resistance at $4.56/bu to confirm a further .30-.40/bu upside on March. Use $4.56/bu for short term targets and wait for next reversal signals to make bigger sales.
Weekly Canola Summary
Futures trading near resistance (short Term target area) $652-660/T. Cover cash flow & Jan basis deadlines if not wanting to roll for shot at higher. A move above $660/T confirms more upside $700/T+ on Mar- July contracts. Will update basis strategy again next week.
